Life is simply a process of experiences. Whether those experiences are good or bad is a question of the meaning we apply to the physical experience, individually or collectively.
Humans become meaning-making machines! When our lives are in balance, no meaning is required.
When we are born we bring with us an inventory of experiences passed down through our parents, our true selves and others, as well as the phenomena we experienced in the womb. As life progresses, the nurture effect adds to and compounds that prior programming, until and unless conscious intervention reprograms it. Yes, the reprogramming is also meaning and story. Only this time it is a story that serves the phenomenal existence of life and enhances our human needs rather than detracting from them.
Life itself is empty and meaningless until we apply meaning through story to the things that happen. Choose the meaning that serves you and the story you want told!
